Find me on:
Hi, I am Alexis. I have a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of South Florida. I am currently a Substitute Teacher. I have served as a health educator, where I worked on initiatives that target health disparities and improve health equity efforts. My previous role entail addressing each of the health determinants that contributed to obesity according to my county's workplan, collaborating with various organizations, and working with WellFlorida Council and other community partners to collect data on the issues most prevalent in the county, and recommend interventions to tackle these issues. My teaching experience has been instrumental in strengthening my communication and leadership skills, which are pivotal to public health advocacy and community outreach. With a strong foundation in health education and community engagement, I have dedicated my job to reducing health disparities and empowering communities with the resources and knowledge they need to achieve their greatest level of health. Here at Assuaged Foundation, I hope to establish connections with like-minded people and obtain research and data analysis skills.
