It’s also super easy to incorporate into your diet because it can be seasoned or cooked in any way you want to fit your chosen cuisine.

Sweet and Spicy Orange Cauliflower Bowl

  • 1 cup of jasmine rice
  • 1 head of cauliflower chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Sunflower sprouts
  • The juice of one navel orange
  • 1 tsp of sesame oil
  • 1.5 tsp of tamari
  • 1 thumb of fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp of samabal oelek or sriracha sauce
  • the juice of one lime
  • 1 tbsp of maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp of sesame seeds


How to make Sweet and Spicy Orange Cauliflower Bowl

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cook 1 cup of jasmine rice according to package instructions.
  3. Cut the head of cauliflower into small florets. Place the cauliflower on a lined baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Roast the cauliflower in the oven for 15 minutes.
  5. While the cauliflower is roasting, prepare the orange marinade. In a bowl, mix the fresh orange juice, sesame oil, tamari, grated ginger, sambal oelek, lime, maple syrup and sesame seeds and set aside.
  6. Remove the cauliflower from the oven and place the florets in the marinade bowl until fully coated. Place the cauliflower back on the baking sheet and keep the remaining sauce to use later.
  7. Roast the cauliflower for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown. If the cauliflower is not looking crispy enough, put the oven on broil for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  8. Prepare your bowl! Place rice and roasted cauliflower into a bowl. Top with sunflower sprouts, sesame seeds and remaining orange marinade.
  9. Additional topping ideas: Avocado, sriracha, or sliced cucumber!
