Try this healthier version of your favorite junk food with organic cajun-fried cauliflower "chicken". It's is finger-licking deliciousness. These can be made in a deep fryer, or for an even lighter option, an air fryer works wonderfully for crispness!

  • 54 oz REFINED coconut oil (if using deep fryer)
  • 1/2 tsp pink himalayan salt
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seed
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 cup garbanzo bean flour
  • 1 1/2 tbsp flaxseed, ground (for dredge)
  • 1/4 cup water (for dredge)
  • 1 tbsp horseradish mustard (for dredge)
  • 1/3 cup sriracha sauce (for dredge)


How to cook Vegan Caesar Salad with Pita Croutons

  1. In a deep fryer or electric skillet, heat oil to 350°. Use an oil meant for high-temperature cooking (recommended choices, refined, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, or avocado oil.)
  2. Rinse and dry cauliflower, then chop into bite-size pieces.
  3. Mix dredge ingredients together into a saucy paste for dipping, let sit one minute.
  4. Add spices, yeast, and flour together.
  5. Dip cauliflower in dredge mixture, then flour mixture, and repeat process.
  6. Fry cauliflower 3-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and juices run clear. Do not overcrowd while frying.
