Health Benefits of Rice Milk

You can take control of your health by choosing to make your rice milk! This rice milk recipe is a healthy alternative to regular consumer milk. White rice typically contains iron and vitamin B6, which is useful to your body. If you are looking to add even more nutritional value to your drink, you can opt to use brown rice instead.

Brown rice contains more fiber than white rice. Brown rice also contains greater amounts of thiamine and niacin, which are important vitamins for the body. It is also lower on the glycemic index, so brown rice is less likely to contribute to type 2 diabetes.

Rice milk contains magnesium, which plays a significant role in maintaining healthy bones. It also contains folic acid, which helps your body create new cells.

Additionally, making homemade rice milk allows you to avoid antibiotics and hormones that are used in many brands of commercial milk.

Rice Milk v. Almond Milk

Rice milk and almond milk are both great dairy alternatives. These homemade alternative milks both contain healthy nutrients while being free from harmful additives found in store-bought milk.

Almond milk contains fewer calories than rice milk. Unsweetened rice milk usually contains a greater amount of sugar than unsweetened almond milk as well. Rice milk made using white rice contains less fiber than almond milk. Therefore, if you have diabetic or digestive concerns, almond milk may be the better option.

Rice milk tends to have a greater amount of carbohydrates and a lower amount of protein than almond milk. Rice milk and almond milk have their own pros and cons.

One major benefit of this drink is that it does not contain any cholesterol. If food allergies are a concern, rice milk may be a safer choice. You can decide which beverage is better for you by prioritizing their health benefits and concerns.
