What is a Sorbet?[1]

A sorbet is a dessert that is usually made from fruit. Usually, sorbets contain no dairy, making them the perfect vegan dessert to enjoy when you are craving something cold and sweet. The main ingredients are water, fruit puree, and juice. 



Why should I eat Sorbet?[2] 

There are so many different types of sorbets that you can make. Whatever the craving, you have an endless amount of options to choose from. They are also low in fat and calories, help you hydrate, are high in nutrients and minerals from fruits, and are vegan. A sorbet is a healthier option compared to ice cream and other desserts! 



What does Sorbet taste like?[3] 

YUMMM. Sorbets taste fruity, refreshing, and slightly tangy, depending on the type. Because of the fruit base, it tastes really light and healthy. You also don't get the stomach aches that people get from creamy ice creams. The texture is icy and smooth, allowing each bite to melt in your mouth. What a perfect dessert!

  • 2 Cups Fresh Strawberries
  • 1/2 Cup of Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup of Water
  • 1 Tablespoon Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice



  1. Step 1: In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has completely dissolved to create a simple syrup. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  2. Step 2: In a blender or food processor, add the strawberries and blend until smooth.
  3. Step 3: Strain the strawberry puree through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the seeds, if desired.
  4. Step 4: Stir in the cooled simple syrup and lemon juice into the strained strawberry puree until well combined.
  5. Step 5: Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a smooth and creamy consistency.
  6. Step 6: Once churned, transfer the sorbet to a freezer-safe container and freeze for an additional 2-3 hours to firm up.
  7. Step 7: Serve the strawberry sorbet in bowls or cones, garnished with fresh strawberries if desired. Enjoy the burst of fruity goodness!
