OUR DREAM TEAM
Nicole Giansanti
Assuaged, Inc.
Public Health Intern
My name is Nicole Giansanti, and I am studying Global Public Health and Anthropology at New York University. I aspire to be a physician that travels around the world while helping communities that do not have immediate access to healthcare. While biomedicine is a key factor when treating someone's health, I am confident that utilizing both biomedical and holistic approaches can provide a better outcome.
Also, I spend a large portion of my time learning languages because I want to be able to build stronger relationships based on trust with my colleagues and future patients. Since a lot of words can get lost in translation, I concluded that I would rather speak to someone's heart (via their mother tongue) rather than rely solely on a lingua franca. As of now, I can speak five languages, and I plan to learn at least three more in the next ten years.
