Marisa Cozort

Assuaged, Inc.

Public Health Intern

Good morning all and greetings from San Jose, California.  My name is Marisa Cozort.  I’m a lifelong swimmer, former school teacher, current swim coach, vegetarian Sagittarius, born in the year of the Dragon, an INTJ, a high D on the DISC and an Enneagram 6w5. I am a firm believer in lifelong education, which is why I have been collecting graduate degrees over the past few years.  I have three (2 of which I completed in the past few months: MS in Health Education and MPH.)  I love sharing my passion for health, nutrition and improving your life through your daily choices.I come from a family of people who love the kitchen and my family has been “urban farming” since that was even a term.  We grow our food.  We plan our days around our meals. We cook with real ingredients.  I look forward to working on recipes, food finds and social media with the Assuaged team. When the world shut down on March 12, 2020, I started the @cookingwithcoachm Instagram and YouTube pages as places for my students, swimmers and friends to hang out and learn a thing or two.  I have been posting every single day since.  So if you want to come hang out, click on any episode and come to my kitchen.  Or to my backyard or garage if we are doing a Quarantine Craft (I do love a good project!)  I look forward to learning and growing with the Assuaged community, as I leap feet first into my mantra: TRY SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY.
