Hello! I am genuinely grateful to be part of this incredible team at Assuaged. My name is Marchae Winston, and I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at California State University, Fullerton. My career goal is to advance to a Master's in Behavioral Analysis to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and take my business, Soil Truths, to the next level as a renowned herb store with aspirations of owning a grocery store and farm dedicated to health. My interest in health was sparked when my father passed away from an illness that the hospital couldn't address effectively. This tragedy drove me to explore how natural nutrients and herbs could support the body's ability to fight illness and strengthen itself.
My passion lies in advocating for plant-based alternative medicine and addressing food deserts to ensure underserved communities have better access to nutritious foods. Through my work and voice, I strive to build healthier, more empowered communities. Additionally, I advocate for the BIPOC community, ensuring they are informed about their rights in areas such as employment, school IEPs, and civil rights laws that are often overlooked or unknown.
