My name is Adriana Tejada and I am a rising senior at Rivier University in New Hampshire. I am majoring in Public Health and have hopes to build a career within the realm of healthcare and project management.
I am originally and proudly from the city of Lawrence, Massachusetts although I currently reside in a town just a few miles north.
One thing I am very passionate about is tackling the issue of health disparities, especially because they affect minority populations at disproportionately higher rates than others. It is important to me that there is a proper allocation of resources and funding to help reduce the burden of chronic illness and financial strain. This is one of the reasons as to why I decided to join Assuaged; to make a difference in the lives of others through creating habitual changes in their diets and lifestyles. In the future, I hope to gain more experience within public health and continue my educational journey in graduate school where I plan to pursue a Master's in Public Health with a concentration in Leadership and or Health Management.
