Hello! My name is Abigail Adeneye. I am a dedicated junior at Skidmore College, pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics.
My love for math began at a young age, as I always enjoyed learning and solving mathematical problems. My journey into computer science began with a transformative experience at the 2022 Girls Who Code summer program. During this intensive two-week boot camp, I acquired skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, culminating in the creation of three websites. More importantly, this experience solidified my passion for IT and software development. I found immense satisfaction in the problem-solving process, where each glitch presented a new challenge, and each solution brought a sense of accomplishment.
I am excited to broaden my horizons within the field of computer science, exploring areas such as data analytics and digital marketing. I believe that venturing into new territories can lead to unexpected passions, just as it did with my initial foray into coding. I am particularly interested in how these disciplines intersect with public health, as I see great potential for leveraging technology to address health challenges. This internship at the Assuaged Foundation is an exciting opportunity for me to contribute my skills and enthusiasm while learning how technology can make a meaningful impact on public health initiatives.
