This smoothie is jam packed with tropical flavor and essential nutrients to for the perfect pick-me up in the heat of the day. Between the hemp seeds, MCT oil, flaxseed and ginger, you have a superfood medley disguised in sweet flavor of pineapple and coconut.


The banana and avocado give this drink amazing texture, just add in a few ice cubes and blend until thick and frothy. You're only a sip away from feeling like you're at a luxury health retreat on the beach with not a care in the world.

Piña Colada Superfood Smoothie

  • 1 young Thai coconut
  • 2 cups chopped fresh pineapple
  • 1 banana (frozen works best)
  • 1/2 small avocado
  • Small handful of spinach (optional)
  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 3 tsp MCT oil
  • 2 tbsp flaxseed powder
  • 2 tsp pure maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced (optional)
  • Ice (optional)


How to make Piña Colada Superfood Smoothie

  1. Open the Thai Young Coconut with a cleaver and a rubber mallet by making four cuts along the top of the coconut point. Pour the coconut water directly into a high-speed blender.
  2. Remove the coconut meat from the coconut by using a rubber spatula. Discard the hard brown bits. Transfer all the coconut meat into the blender with liquid.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and blend on high speed until frothy and smooth.
  4. If your piña colada smoothie is coming out too thick, add coconut milk or cream until desired consistency.
