  • 1 cup textured vegetable protein
  • 1 cup vegetable stock
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Salt
  • Non-dairy milk of choice


How to make Vegan Nuggets

  1. Preheat oven to 400° and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. Put the vegetable stock into a medium-sized pot and bring to a boil. Then add the textured vegetable protein and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  3. Continue to add the nutritional yeast, soy sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder and mix it all together.
  4. Add the flour to the mixture and stir well.
  5. Pour the mixture onto a chopping board and add water. Use your hands to combine the nugget mix. Begin to form the mixture into small nugget-sized pieces.
  6. Dip the nuggets in flour, then the dairy-free milk, and lastly the breadcrumbs. Make sure to evenly coat them on all sides.
  7. Put the coated nuggets on a baking sheet. Make sure that they have room to breathe. Put it in the oven for 20 minutes.
  8. Gather your favorite dipping sauce or seasoning and enjoy!

Growing up switching schools all of the time you had to learn how to adapt. Everywhere I'd go I would learn about different people and different cultures, but I noticed the one universal language everyone had in common was laughter.
