  • 1/2 cup non-dairy chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1 tbsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • coconut oil


How to make (Vegan) Chocolate Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Add cocoa powder and warm water into a mixing bowl. Combine ingredients with a mixer
  3. In a separate large bowl; combine baking soda, salt, flour, and brown sugar. Mix ingredients together
  4. Add white vinegar, vanilla extract, coconut oil, and cocoa powder mix into the large bowl. Combine ingredients using a mixer
  5. Apply coconut oil to your cake pan and pour in the cake mix
  6. Bake for 30 minutes in the oven and let cool for 20 minutes once it is done baking
  7. Melt the chocolate chips in a pot on the stove. Add coconut oil to help it mix together
  8. Scrape out the melted chocolate chips into a large bowl. Combine with confectioners sugar and warm water
  9. Now that the icing is made, ice the cake. Feel free to add any toppings to the cake that you enjoy

Preacher Lawson is a stand-up comedian, actor, singer, human, professional black guy. I was born in Portland, Oregon, but raised most of my adolescence in Memphis, TN. I moved 20 times before age 10, but if you asked me what city I'm from I'd say Orlando, FL. Because that's where I grew as a comedian.

Growing up switching schools all of the time you had to learn how to adapt. Everywhere I'd go I would learn about different people and different cultures, but I noticed the one universal language everyone had in common was laughter. Which is how I spoke and warmed up to most people. Even when I wasn't the funniest I was still the loudest.
