  • 3 cups of old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • Almond milk
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 6 tbsp honey
  • 6 tbsp coconut brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp boiling hot water
  • 3/4 cup coconut flakes
  • 1/3 cup sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp himalyan salt
  • 1 cup dried bananas (optional)
  • 1 cup raisins (optional)


How To Make Cereal From Scratch

  1. Preheat oven to 250° and coat a baking sheet with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the old fashioned oats, sesame seeds. slivered almonds, and coconut flakes
  3. In another bowl; combine olive oil, honey, cinnamon, himalyan salt, brown sugar, boiling hot water. Mix together until it has formed a sauce
  4. Mix the sauce into the large bowl with the oat mixture. Evenly coat the oats with the sauce
  5. Evenly spread out the cereal mixture on the sheet. Cook for 30 minutes.
  6. Cool for 15 - 20 minutes. Pour the cereal into a new bowl and add desired toppings.
  7. Create a portion for yourself, add almond milk, and enjoy!

Preacher Lawson is a stand-up comedian, actor, singer, human, professional black guy. I was born in Portland, Oregon, but raised most of my adolescence in Memphis, TN. I moved 20 times before age 10, but if you asked me what city I'm from I'd say Orlando, FL. Because that's where I grew as a comedian.

Growing up switching schools all of the time you had to learn how to adapt. Everywhere I'd go I would learn about different people and different cultures, but I noticed the one universal language everyone had in common was laughter. Which is how I spoke and warmed up to most people. Even when I wasn't the funniest I was still the loudest.

I started writing jokes when I was 16 for about a year, then decided to perform for the first time at age 17 as between my mother and I. Best decision of my life.
