Public Health Intern   My name is Dara Washington, and I am a third-year student from Toronto, Canada, currently studying at Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. Here, I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in Workplace Health & Wellness. My passion for fostering healthy lifestyles and advocating for well-being has been the driving force behind my career aspirations. Whether it's designing specialized wellness programs, conducting educational workshops, or collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care, my goal has always been to inspire individuals to prioritize their health and make informed lifestyle choices. I believe that the body has the ability to heal itself, and nurturing what you take in—whether it be energy, food, information, or experiences—is essential for sustainable, organic human development.  Positivity, holistic well-being, oneness, and harmony are the guiding tools of my journey. Prior to pursuing my bachelor's degree, I earned college credentials in Fitness and Health Promotion, which laid the foundation for my current academic pursuits. Upon completing my studies, I aspire to work for public health or a wellness innovative organization, contributing to the development of a more health-conscious society on all levels—mentally, physically, economically, and spiritually. My ultimate ambition is to promote these practices worldwide by being a global health advocate and action planner. Beyond my professional endeavours, I find joy in activities such as staying active, exploring the outdoors, cooking, and enjoying music.
